Responsibilities: - Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses - Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features - Interpret prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists - Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance - Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed - Maintain inventory of eyewear and optical supplies - Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses - Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or issues Qualifications: - Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role is preferred - Knowledge of optical principles, including lens types, frames, and fittings - Familiarity with medical coding and medical records management - Understanding of ophthalmology terminology and procedures - Strong retail sales skills with the ability to upsell products and services - Knowledge of physiology related to the eye and vision - Familiarity with aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness in the optical area - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Epic or similar software Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.77 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
